Solution and Benefits
Clamp Due to bulky size of hood providing just mechanical gripping systems was not possible. Fine Handling developed a specialised vacuum gripper which would grip component on its surface. Gripper was also provided with a clamping indicator to indicate the Hood is clamped properly and safe to move.
Lift Specialized orientation change mechanism with auto actuation was developed for easy tilting and precise alignment.
Mount Gripper had two pneumatically operated JAWs to hold the hood. To avoid any direct contact with the hood, these jaws were provided with PU pads.
